I've heard time helps and to a point that is true, at least it doesn't consume your thoughts all day as it does in the beginning. The "what if's", loss, come and go less frequently. but always there somewhere. Seems a lot of thinking on chances you may have had that slipped away, like that extra phone call ecetra, how it has been for me anyway.

Birthdays, holidays, for me, have lost their luster to a degree, but still thankful for the family I still have as well. I suppose it varies for each individual. Good days and bad days even after nearly 2 years.

I sold life insurance for over 40 years so I was involved in paying many claims to my clients who usually had lost their long time spouse. What I learned by observing this over and over is what Western said above. Even though I am sure it does not feel like it now it does improve over time. You never get over it fully but they do go on with their lives.- I wish you only the best Sir and God bless your entire family
