My wife has been prescribed Eliquis by her new Dr. She has a history of DVT. Picked up her pills this afternoon. $482.00 for 90 days worth. Anybody else take this stuff?

Thats actually pretty cheap for 90 days worth.
How many mg?
What did she use to get it so cheap? Good RX?
Costco quoted me almost $600 for a 30 day supply of 5 mg.

I'm on Xarelto. It's $240 a month with insurance. I get 90 day supply, it's cheaper that way.

On Medicare and my supplement it is $118 out of my pocket every month for 5mg. I could have it for less per month but the supplement would be more increase than the added cost of the med and that one would cover less on the others and end up costing me more. I forget what they said the cost would be without the insurance but know it isn't cheap.
You can get one discount thing from the manufacture that drops the price for one script fill at least.

5mg twice a day for me. Got a manufacturers discount card. $10 a month with the card. Insurance was between $150-200 a month. They changed the formulary on my insurance and I would have to pay full price ~700 a month without the card.

Yea, ask the pharmacy if they have any coupons and/or check the manufacturer's website. I was on it for a while and was able to get it down to $10 a month like Seacam. I'd ask your doc or pharmacy because folks can not understand the lingo on their website and think they are not eligible.

I've been on Eliquis for several years, but still developed a blood clot in leg. Was using Express Scripts for pharmaceuticals and after deductibles, 90 day perscription $125/script. Dr has just switched me to Xarelto.

Thinking is may be enough difference between meds that Xarelto may aid in dissolving clot.

Never been on Heparin, but back in the 80's, I had a blood clot hit me in the lungs and in hospital was given Coumadin. Was monitored very closely for several months. I believe Eliquis and Xeralto have a lot fewer side effects.

Same thing, I had a blood clot get to my lung in October 2022, they had me in Medial Center Plano Emergency Room for 7 hours waiting for me to go into cardiac arrest, finally moved me to a trauma unit for orthopedic. Gave me Heperan for one week via IV. I had to stay in hospital for 2 weeks, then moved me to a inpatient rehab facility for 2 more weeks. Good to know you over came your clot.

I just did 24 hour flights last week, and clot leg swolled up bad. I still have a IVF Filter right before my heart to catch clots going to my lungs. Had that for almost a year now

I'm on Xarelto for AFib. I did internet research due to the expense. Warfarin has been around a long time and it's relatively cheap. Fewer side effects sold me on Xarelto.

Had that for almost a year now Is that what they call "The Watchman"? I'll quite possibly be getting one. Still have a rather large clot in my right leg and seeing a vein specialist next week. Never worn compression socks and no mention of long flights or car trips.
