Anyone have experience with one of these? Seems like quality components and can be had new for $1800 I would probably chop the barrel and suppress for coyote hunting off a tripod in 6mm creedmoor. Curtis action, triggertech special, mpa hybrid chassis, excalibur barrel.

I had them build me a 308 when I was on the SWAT team. Gun was heavy, but shot great. Ergonomics on the chassis were great. Action was smooth and accuracy was always sub moa. Only sold it because I was no longer stuck with 308 and wanted to get a 6.5 and found a good deal on one. I wouldn't hesitate to get one, but I think the weight could be a bit much for hunting use.

Yes!!!
I have an MPA in the Hybrid Hunter CF (6.5 creed) and it is one sweet rifle.
Highly recommend the offerings from MPA.

I would love to buy their PMR pro 2 in the same caliber. From what I’ve read and seen online people don’t have issues with them.

I did load development for one.
I found the best powder charge, then had to play with bullet jump to get it to tighten up some more. Not very common I need to mess with bullet jump. That and a dollar will get you a cup of coffee.

Does the action feel smooth? Seems I read more negative than positive on curtis actions.

The action on mine is very smooth and I have tested it multiple times on hog scrambles after the first shot...
I will also mention the rifle chasis is well thought out and offer what MPA refers to as the RAT (Rapid Adjustment Technology) allowing various add-on's to be mounted to the chasis. In fact, my rifle has a built-in Acra rail that allows me to connect it to my trip-pod very easily without any added weight. I'm also running an Atlas bi-pod on the chasis too.
I find the carbon fiber barrel is handy for weight reduction, which I almost always have it suppressed and I find it's still a manageable rifle in the field.

I've ran the numbers and to piece together a origin, proof prefit, stock, triggertech, etc..., I can't come close to the price of these. I know it will be heavy, but I would chop it to 18" or 20" and be used on a tripod for coyote hunting. How much weight could be removed by going from the factory 26" length to 18" or 20"?
