Very good looking building. Hope everyone stayed cool. After noon, we all had to add pickle juice and Gatorade to the water we were trying to keep up with. We thought we'd roof it in one day. We got 3/4 done, and one of my buds cried uncle. He told me "I'm getting dizzy." I said "then get off the roof. We will re-adress one morning. It's not worth getting someone sick or hurt over."

I could live in that.
I watch YouTube videos about builds. Usually wolf steel buildings and Texas Best Construction.
Saw Wolf Steel do one 40x80 for 132k with foundation, windows, doors and porches. I told the wife I bet I could finish inside for 150k.

It is a cost effective way to build. And a very durable building, never needing more than maybe power washing.
It is also a way to get dried in very quickly.
Closed cell foam straight to the skin, then back it up with open cell foam. Thats the way we did our house.

Good looking building, good call knocking off before someone gets sick or hurt.

"it is finally warm enough to weld!"
If the 2nd amendment was written just to include guns for hunting, why is there not an amendment to protect fishing poles?

One company builds Brandos like this one. They put a zip system around the frame, then spray foam.
Just the one company does it. Most others do not.
Your Thoughts on the zip system for a home like this?
Some say it’s not necessary. Others say it may make the home too air tight.

Myself and two very experienced and smart colleagues discussed this at length on my house. I elected not to do that. I did not want any wood on the outside of my house. Spoke with my foam installer. We were framing when he came out. I asked about applying a vapor barrier to the outside of my studs. He said it was not necessary. Good thing, because my studs are steel. You are not going to staple Tyvek to steel studs. We installed the wall sheets directly to my studs. Foam guy shot 1" closed cell foam on the back sides of the sheets. Then a second pass with 2.5" of open cell foam. Roof got 7-9" of open cell foam. The house is as tight as a drum! 3625 square feet, and it costs the same to heat and cool as the 1500 square foot house, built in 1967 that I sold. The house is so tight, that in spring and fall the humidity rises in the house. That is because the thermostat does not tell the system to kick on, so air doesn't get exchanged. Meaning the heat or air just is not running almost at all, when we've got moderate temps outside.
