Does anyone know what happened to Mike Conner that used to sell knives on the forum? I bought one from him a few years ago but I havent seen him on here in a long time.

Last I heard he was doing good. I don’t think he makes many knives these days. Think he had some health issues for a while.

I think he scaled back or was talking about it. He makes nice blades for sure.

Thanks all. I am happy with mine. I was just wondering if he was ok since he just dropped off here suddenly.

I reached out to him this morning. He went through some serious issues a year or two ago and he has just slowed down a lot. He had to have help finishing a knife for a benefit auction for his church. Mike is a great person and a good friend. We're both about the same age early to mid 70's

He's fine and like he said this morning, the gold isn't so good in the golden years.

Thanks for the update Bob. Both of you are great men and it was my privilege to have met you both. Prayers for Mike and his family.

Oh wow, RIP and prayers for his family! He made a couple of knives for me for Christmas gifts for my son and son-in-law a few years back.

Mike made three knives for me that I gave as gifts. I called him one time to talk about knives for my two nephews and he spent half an hour on the phone with me going through different options to make sure they would be exactly right.

Here's Mike's knife that I gave to my brother for his 50th birthday.
