Can't see all the danger in the before picture but me and a friend, my dad, his brother, and his brother's son in law cut some trees today in Grayson County from the bad storm a couple weeks ago. Took all the stuff off the building, cut a HUGE deadman out of the trees behind it, cut the deadman's host tree down, and got rid of two more leaning hack berries. More pics to come when I get time.

That storm wreaked havoc on trees across the state. Glad you were able to get some cleanup done safely.

I’ve been doing the same. Picking up limbs, cutting damaged or dead trees, and keeping a good burn pile going. Watered the area then lit it up. Burned it down then maintained a small fire all day. Stopped adding fuel at 2pm until early tomorrow morning when we get after it again. Front 2.5 acres are done …still a lot to do on the back three. Another dozen trees to drop over the next three days. Have my BIL’s tractor for 2-4 day so making use while I have it.

I normally start well before daylight and shutdown between noon and two but went until well after 4pm today. Considering getting back on the tractor after I cool off good.

The roof on the shed took a hit, is it worth saving? Be careful with the chain saws. When you get tired that's when things happen.

This tree destroyed my feeder during that storm. Come to find out the whole inside was rotton.

No. I need someone to dismantle it and haul it off so a new one can be delivered and installed. Insurance only pays for the building and the removal of the one tree. Not for the removal of the old building or any other trees. (small pics Dad sent me)

Unless more than what we can see in the pics, clean out remove broken and go back with new might be more effort and time than wanted though, in the pic showing the building uncovered looks like the ridge run is sagging all the way across.

It's not only the roof that is broken. The building is no longer square. The trusses are split too. From above, the footprint is now a trapezoid. None of the walls are truly vertical. The joists are broken and split.

It's a 20-year old shed that did its job and took the brunt of an 5K pound tree top falling on it. She done.

Three full days and $2K in materials to splice it back doesn't offset the $6K replacement cost.

Damn Hackberry trees were born to fall down, and ruin stuff!!

Last week, I was in Oahu visiting my parents and helped them with some trees that wouldn't have survived the next storm. I managed to take down some branches myself, but for certain trees, we called in a local company specialized in tree trimming. They removed several X-meter tall trees that would have definitely damaged the roof of the house if they fell.

The tree trimming was quite risky due to the height and weight of the trees, but the guys handled it wonderfully. You don't mess with the experts. In case anyone in Oahu or the surrounding areas needs such a service, we used the guys from oahutreetrimming.com.

That storm snapped the top 8 ft or so off a 25-30 ft palm tree in my backyard. And those things a a bidch to chainsaw in pieces.
