I hate Steeley Dan. Terrible band and I have no clue how they were popular.
But "Dirty Work" is one of my favorite songs, I love it.
lets have some other examples of the "hate the band, but I love that song" category.
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

IMO, that becomes an easier question when you single out a specific singer or artist.
While I find Taylor Swift very annoying, I must admit she writes and sings some good songs that appeal to a wide range of listeners.
No doubt many others have artists they dislike (hate is a strong word) personally but still like at least some of their music. It brings to mind that phrase someone coined, "Shut up and sing."

Less "cracker jack" for the boy... The period is not to be duplicated ever. I argued with my dad (The Greatest Generation) about music all the time. I can hear kids (20 somethings) listening to this stuff this very day. Even I'm shocked.

Agreed. Outside of Crazy Train nothing else he sang was worth a crap. I'd go to his concerts just to see his opening acts.

Beatles would have been better if they didn’t let the king of the hippies run the show… It’s interesting how you can chronicle the exact moment they discovered acid….how do you go from “Hard Days night” and “Day Tripper” to “I am the walrus”?
