On another driving topic.

June and September seem to be rough months on the streets. Young drivers getting cars just out of school and starting back to school.

Couple days ago, I approached an intersection with a green light. I carefully entered watching for red light runners. A young man with 3 of his buds be bopping, coming from my right coasted into the intersectition, making a right turn on red. He got all big eyed when he saw me bearing down on him. After I noticed the side mirrors still folded in, I motioned him on. Figured safer in number two spot than In pole postion.

Seems like first two weeks of fall semester my kids were in high school was liken to demo derby.

If the 2nd amendment was written just to include guns for hunting, why is there not an amendment to protect fishing poles?

Had a guy blow a stop sign on the service road of I20 in Thurber going 65-70mph. I'm sure glad I was about 5 seconds late, it would have whipped out the wife and I. I couldn't see him coming because of the bridge embankment.

I drive all over the metro mess and out into east TX on a daily basis and I am noticing noticed lately yellow stickers on cars that say something like “please be patient new driver”. When I see these I look to see the driver and it is never kids most of the time it’s appears to be someone in their 30’s or 40’s and some appear to be foreigner’s. Some I can see but I think a a lot are people putting them on to try to excuse their driving.

When our last driver, several years ago, finished driving school, her cerificate surpassed a DPS driving test.

There is a reason a 30 year adult does not have a drivers license.

We have a lot of people coming here that have never held a steering wheel in their lives. Be careful out there, clear every intersection.
