There is time, and you must take it, to lay your hand on your dog's head as you walk past him lying on the floor or on his settle, time to talk with him, to remember with him, time to please him, time you can't buy back once he's gone" GBE

"Flat Rate of $9.95 for all US orders." Or you can just order it through usps.gov or tpwd with your license without paying the $10 shipping cost. That website is a dropship or consignment company to profit off you.

Or you could just stop by the local post office and get one instantly to attach to your license. Still for a good cause and absolutely zero cost for shipping. Or order online via USPS or TPWD as previously mentioned, but you don’t have to wait for it to be mailed

I just get mine with my license on tpwd. I do keep them all, as a very casual stamp collector. Are field-used duck stamps worth more, sort of like a game-worn jersey?

Definitely worth more when "Game Used". PS - Going to order your grandfather's memoir! My grandfather with a Colonel in the AF in WWII. He had some stories! He actually got MacArthur out of Bataan just as the Japanese took it over. Those men were something else....greatest generation by far!

My grandpa's memoir actually does have some Texas hunting/fishing content, he was in Palacios for awhile. His stories sound like they would be very interesting, any possibility of assembling a memoir? I really wish I had asked more questions of the older generations, especially asking those older generations about what they had heard from their older generations. I need to get my dad's Vietnam stories organized, he wasn't in any heavy combat but still has a lot of interesting tales.

I've had issues getting my federal duck stamp when I ordered it through TPWD while getting my license. They make it right and I eventually got it. But just another thing to followup on and deal with.

Did anyone do the e-license last year? If so, where did you keep the physical stamp?

You have to still carry the stamp with you. “Digital license holders are not exempt from the Federal Duck Stamp requirement. If you purchase a Federal Duck Stamp, it will be mailed to your address on file. The stamp must be signed on its face and is required to be on your person while hunting waterfowl.” https://tpwd.texas.gov/regulations/outdoor-annual/licenses/tagging-instructions/digitaltags

I wouldn't let the dog wag the tail. Just bad luck for you. I would guess vary small percent gets lost in mail or does not make it to your house. And even it does, the endorsement gets you through early teal, so you have 2 months for bigs ducks to deal with a lost stamp. So I would use the easy button for duck stamp, worry about more important things. But if you are into collecting duck stamps and enjoy going to the post office and buying it and the old fashion process, that's cool.
