Mine is garbage.

Time to upgrade.

What say ye?

I’ve never had any problems with the RCBS that came with a Rock Chucker kit.

For rifle case priming, I use a Frankford Platinum hand primer. It’s great.

I am using the E-ZEE PRIME™ HAND PRIMING TOOL from Lyman. Even with arthritis in my hands, it has a surprising amount of seating pressure.

I use a K&M, if tou want to get really scientific you can get one with a force gage. Primers are perfectly seated every time.

Frankford Platinum. I didn’t know how junky my other were until I used this one. I have less hand fatigue/pain using this one as well. Getting older sucks.

If doing a bunch/bulk the RCBS is ok. If you want precision the 21st Century is excellent IMO. Have to load singles but it is great.

I'll add another vote for the Frankford Arsenal. I used to use an old style lee(which is still pretty good, you just can't buy them anymore). The Frankford is way better.

I switched over from a hand-held to a bench-mounted RCBS a few years ago on account of aging hands...some days are better than others. I had the idea that I'd be sacrificing a lot of feel for the leverage gain, but as it turns out I get even better feel with all that leverage and that makes the extra step of loading the primer tubes well worth the effort. I should have gone that route many years ago.

Same here.

I've got great grip strength, but certain brands of brass started having primer pockets so tight, that two hands on an RCBS hand priming tool would not seat the primers all the way in.

I used a Hornady version that came with my original kit but I too switched to the RCBS bench mount because some of the tighter pockets would just hurt my hand.

Switched to this one last year and it's worth it. Great tool.

Just go all in with one of these

http://www.primalrights.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=134

grin

I still use the RCBS one, it must be 30 years old by now, It works fine. I will say, some brass is too tight for it, and you think it may break before it gets seated. I have a Lee brand also I used before the RCBS, it is a turd. I may go to a bench mount soon.

I didn’t mention I too like the RCBS bench mounted primer since OP asked about hand primers. Still have a few old model Lee’s too but only use them for special cases.
I have the press mounted Primal Rights priming tool here somewhere in a box just didn’t get the hang of using it and put it aside and meaning to get back to it but never did.

I hate them all...Lee Auto Prime back in the old round and even square trays was about the best feel but I've broken my stash of them. I bought the RCBS bench mount and I just don't feel like I have the feel I did with the Lee.

I want a Primal Rights...just don't or haven't spent the money on it and I'm not loading as much as I once was.

That Frankford Platinum hand primer comes with 12 or 14 case holders. I do like that. Also has adjustable seating depth. The only thing I didn’t like about it was that square blue primer tray. Hated that, but found that the round green primer tray from the RCBS hand primer fit and was much better.

Another RCBS bench mount fan. Take it a step further with an Inline Fabrication Ultramount and quick change top plate.

Same here...I have used most of the ones mentioned and destroyed several of the Lees over the years and IME the K&M has the best feel out of all of them. I know exactly when the primer bottoms out in the pocket.

I was gifted a LEE bench primer and haven't set it up yet. Will soon though have 500 cases to prime.

I've probably been using the same Lee round-tray tool for 20 years. The lid has gotten so loose it barely stays on, but then I have grown old and tired as well. grin

I just got in the Lee APP priming press. I’m really liking it so far.
