As weird as it sounds I like whiz on those with onions and hot peppers. Delassandro’s is my favorite….but a ways from the airport.

Would certainly like to go to Dalessandro's Steaks but they were out of my way. Ordered this one with their recommended Cooper Sharp cheese. Cheese Whiz is good as well.

I think some guys out of Wyoming came down here with dornier fire planes to get current a few months ago. 4 jet engine in a fairly small plane and they were cool.

Ooh, headed to PA for the next tour and gonna do my best to devour a few cheesesteaks. From folks that are natives, they tell me that there's a difference between the hoagies and actual cheesesteaks, in that what we southerners think of cheesesteaks are actually what they call hoagies. Any truth to that? I'm also told they put ketchup on their cheesesteaks!

If we can find decent hoagie bread in Texas I think I can replicate one. Not much too it really. Ribeye thin sliced, fried onion and whiz.

I went to Dallesandros and had one of the worst phillies of my life. The meat tasted like it had been simmering in a crockpot of plain water all day. The cheese and onions were on point, but couldn't make up for the trash meat. The wait was unreal, their process for moving people through the line was absolutely stupid. Complete waste of time, and a terrible sandwich.
Highly recommend you ask a local where they go, and skip the commercialized fad places.
