Can you dehydrate and make jerky like deer meat?

Yes you can, but make sure you mix it real good and add salt to take the wild taste out of it

I do all of my jerky on the smoker. I just did some backstrap from a hog. mmmm,mmmmm tasty!

You bet. I like it. I have some of my sausage prepared without sage, and with a little more black pepper. I then can thaw a tube of that and make jerky (with the gun) year round. Other spices are the same as the sausage!
