My good friend Wade, AKA “leswad” passed away on April 26th at the age of 54 after a decade of battling colon cancer. He loved the conversation on Texas Hunting forum as well as everything Texas. Wade grew up in Dallas where he attended Highland Park High School and excelled on the football field for the Scots. After graduation he enrolled at Stephen F. Austin State University, which he proudly called “Harvard of the South”. While at SFA Wade played football and was a member of the Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity, Gamma Pi Chapter. He graduated from SFA in May 1990. Growing up Wade loved camping trips to the Big Bend area with his brothers and cousins. In the past 25 years he made countless trips throughout west Texas with his closest friends. Wade was an avid outdoorsman, hunter and fisherman. He loved hunting at his Graham ranch, the opening day of dove season, a good Texas stock tank bass and chasing Oklahoma ducks. Enough said.

So sad, RIP Wade. We’ve had many conversations over the years. He’s bought some things off me and mentioned he was trying to prepare his family with everything they’d need for when he passed because he had cancer. Definitely a good guy. Will be missed sir. God Speed.

Was wondering about Wade as I passed the Eliasville turn off just the other day. Hate to hear of his passing. Did business with him for years in the metro mess. Good man, he’ll be missed.
