I’m feeling more and more technologically retarded, these days. It’s been awhile since I’ve bought a song to put on my phone, but I seem to recall doing just that and fairly easily so. I searched the song, paid for it, and that was that. This is an iPhone. This doesn’t seem to be an option, anymore. I tried, just now, and they want some sort of subscription and I can’t just have that song. How do I purchase a song, these days?

If you can't figure it out, ask any slack jawed, gangly teenager to do it OR go into Best Buy. They have an Apple counter that will do it for you.

I got nothing ... but I am curious, why do you want a song downloaded to your phone? so you have a playlist of favorites I suspect?

I got nothing ... but I am curious, why do you want a song downloaded to your phone? so you have a playlist of favorites I suspect? Most vehicles these days connect to your phone. Many people these days prefer to listen to whatever song they want whenever they want, so that means they don't use the radio because nobody likes commercials and ads. For a relatively small monthly fee you can listen to whatever song you want whenever you want with no ads. For me, it's easily worth it. I'm on the road a lot and in the gym a lot and I like my music. You can also "download" the songs so they are available offline (like when you're on a plane) so you still have all your music or podcasts. I use Spotify.

My wife does all that in her SUV and our boat but with commercials ... me, not so much
