Bought a new gun for my pressure washer. Paid $25 for it online as opposed to $50 something at lowes. Didn't realize it had a 3/4" male thread on the end, and not a 3/8 quick disconnect like my other. No biggie. I'll just go buy an adapter. Boy was I wrong. Tractor supply didn't have what I needed, ace hardware didn't have what I needed. The people at Tru value thought I was crazy. Probably. So what I need is something to take me from this 3/4" male pipe thread, to allow me to hook up my 3/8" female quick disconnect that is on my pressure washer hose. I can't find anything like that..I was hoping this would be the easy way. Same thing happened to me when I got a new disk for mine. Went to Northern Tool and they had all the fittings to make it work.
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

Home Depot has a section of brass fittings in the plumbing section by the waterlines and stops.

The people at your Ace Hardware and True Value Hardware are clearly incompetent. Any decent hardware will have the fittings you need to make it work. See pdr55's comment above.

You’ll be another $25 into fitting by the time you get it working.
I hate when issues like this arise. Close. $13 $3 for the adapter and 10 for the quick connect. Would've helped if I had paid closer attention in the first place.

I said, "well, I need a 3/4 to 3/8 reducer and 3/8 QD, and told him what I was doing. He said "follow me".. And brought me to this, perfect. Auto parts employees are even worse. I remember back in the day , you could walk into any auto parts and actually get advice on a repair. Nowadays, if they cant look it up on a computer, it doesn't exist.
Just for giggles, I used to go into an AutoZone and ask for plugs (insert any part here) for an '83 Corvette and they would loose their mind because they couldn't find it on the computer.
