Was curious how long you guys could survive without a grocery store.
My spidey sense is telling me to start making provisions/stockpiling
Bought some powdered eggs and dehydrated peanut butter.
Am I going off the deep end or is anyone else thinking the same?

My wife and I could live for a year off what we have currently, not including the seeds we keep for growing fruits and veggies etc.

Am I going off the deep end or is anyone else thinking the same? If it ever gets that bad...there isn't any coming back from it this time. I refuse to live out my waning days/weeks/months as a caveman. We do still have LOTS of TP from the China flu days though!

Nope, just born to and raised by ordinary country folks, who 'prepped' as a way of life.

I've been stocking up ever since the kenyan was elected. I think I have three years covered very well but my family better like tuna, can chicken and dehydrated hamburger meat along with a few cases of MRE's for The Final Days.
You can't eat gold and silver, a can of tune will be north of $5 a can when SHTF and don't trust anyone that you don't already trust today.
Good Luck

Good Luck lol if Chit ever did hit the fan a can of tuna would be worth its weight in gold. People have it way to easy these days. If the grocery stores stopped running millions would starve in the first few weeks. A lot of people would probably kill for that can of tuna.

This is why you bury 6" PVC full of can goods AND 1 Liter adult beverage bottles for when it gets really bad and if you get robbed you still have something. My wife thought I was nuts, not so much now.

Most of the people in the urban areas wouldn't make it a week in a truly shtf situation. The ones that would have already prepped a bug out location, stocked it and not talked about it to anyone but their closest allies. If you're starting now you're well behind the clock. You'll need food, meds, shelter and protection as a minimum starting point. jmo

You'd have a decent chance in the rv Sheldon, you might want to rethink your fuel supply storage strategy.

Nope, just born to and raised by ordinary country folks, who 'prepped' as a way of life. This. My grandma, mama, aunts canned food (vegetables) until they got too old to do it, but very few cousins do it anymore. I bought a pressure canner some years back just to learn how to do it. I learned to can meats, all kinds of beans/vegetables for just when I didn’t have anything else to do. I like doing it, and it’s handy to have. I believe a pressure canner and a water source along with bullets would be very important to have, along with a place to go.

We have about three months of rations as long as the electricity stays on for the fridge and freezer, if no electricity it is head for the hills.

This is a hunting forum and people are worried about running out of food if the stores close.....SMH
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

A long time here in the country. Garden, cattle, chickens, well, numerous generators and about 3000 gallons of fuel at any time. Small solar system. Anyone in the city or close to a city is in big trouble.

Yes. I make sure we have at least 100 I cups on hand and the water tank is full before I go to bed.
