I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect.

Pathetic that he’s had nine DUIs and that it took this long to send him away for a long time.
I just turned it on . I was looking bird dogs in the butt this morning.

You shouldn't be surprised at what a good lawyer and stack of money can get you out of. It did 8 times previous.

Took 9 huh? What happened to strike 3? If someone has been convicted of two 3rd degree felonies, then the rule will come into play when they are convicted of their third crime. A 1st DWI is a class B misdemeanor, #2 is an A, #3 is a State Jail Felony so he was on #4 to get his first 3rd degree felony. He could not get the three strikes until conviction number 6 where it’s 25-99 or life. Likely many of his were pled down by urchin lawyers to keep the 3 strike sentences from coming into play until 8 or 9.

You want to deter DWIs or DUIs then you have to make the punishment hurt. If you're stupid enough to drink and drive then you need to put in work for the "shot caller". Adios MFKR!!!

You shouldn't be surprised at what a good lawyer and stack of money can get you out of. It did 8 times previous. And the good ol' boy system. This was out in Weatherford, family ties run deep. My wife's ex got up to his 4th one before he finally got some sense. The 4 were all pled to varying degrees to where he didn't serve any real time. But the USPS finally said he couldn't drive his postal route if he got another one. Or if he got caught with a bottle in the Jeep again. Yep, 4 DUIs and still driving a mail route. Because union.

I mentioned this previously but what really ticks me off is that a man that I sat on a jury for that killed two people in a DWI accident who had a long history of DWI arrest only got 20 years and the reason we didn't give him life was because the law only allowed us to give him 20.

I got one and did a night in jail. I had drank 2 beers. I asked for a breath or blood test and was refused. Fort Worth a long time ago. I went before a judge and told him the story. SOL
Home on leave from USAF. 1964 Fort Worth. Riding with a friend who the cops stopped. Asked for my ID. I didn’t have my wallet with me. Cops asked what I did for a living and I said Air Force. They asked for my Class A Pass which all military have to carry. I didn’t have it with so they put me in the Fort Worth jail. Assumed that I was an AWOLoose. The next morning, I was hauled to Carswell AFB and jailed. They let me call my Dad who brought my class A Pass and I was released. About a month later the First Sergeant called and said come see him. He had the paperwork and asked what happened. I told him and he told me the same damn thing had happened to him in Fort Worth. He told me that he would lose the paperwork.
I intend to obey the law. But a badge or judges robe doesn’t get my automatic respect.
Went through a divorce a long time ago. Wife had a boyfriend. My gender disqualified me from getting custody of my children. I got 2 weekends a month and 2 weeks during the summer.
I’m not going to do anything illegal but I don’t automatically respect the law. It’s written by professional politicians.
Without a sense of urgency, nothing ever happens.
Boy, if I say "sic em", you'd better look for something to bite. Sam Shelley, Rancher Muleshoe Texas 1892-1985 RIP

Everyone I caught DWI would always rationalize to themselves how they were the victim.

Had an inmate at TDCJ that received a 2 year sentence for his 7th DWI.

There should be no such thing as a misdemeanor DUI/DWI.
