Looking for a gunsmith to true up the scope base screw holes on a Savage 110.

Looks like they currently drift to the right.

Try Kim Lehew, 214-771-1240. He is on Hwy 276 east not far from Native Outdoors. I've known Kim since high school, he's fixed a couple of my mess ups this past year.

Thanks for the info vance. Do you know if he does barrel cutting and threading? I have a screw up that needs fixing.

I've been very satisfied with this guy on the downtown square in Athens, his shop is called "Back 40 Firearms" and I found his card just now, Phone # is 903-681-1315.

His shop faces west, across the street from the downtown Court House. All the parking on his side of the square is all head in parking. This guy was the only place I could find in almost a year of looking who would/could replace the faulty extractor in my SS Marlin 270 that was built after Ruger bought Marlin to get the rights to Marlin's Lever action rifles and Ruger farmed out this model's manufacturing to a company in Kentucky...and the extractor shattered on extraction of the 1st round fired using WW factory ammo....and the Marlin will hold sub MOA groups with the WW ammo as a BIG porker found out after playing peek a boo with me at about 150/175 yards while buried up in some heavy brush waiting for me to concentrate on watching the herd of WT's 150 yards away from him while I was looking for an Axis to take home, Bang Flop. One & Done.

Back then I was doing all my extractions using a bore brush's cleaning rod....made it always a little slow on reloading the next round..... but the gun shoots that well if I do my part. The guy in Athens was the only place down here who promised and delivered a new functional extractor for under a $100, and on time as promised.
