Loaded up on Lamb Chops and Pork Ribs last week, Tom Thumb had Buy one, Get one Free on Ribs.

I soak them in Mustard and Soy Sauce for a couple of days

Went to Tom T and got a Brisket and other items, they were just putting the Briskets out.
Took the one out of the garage freezer and put the new one in it's place.

Have not seen any deals on whole beef tenderloin, however I did see your comment about Costco having prime brisket at 1.99.
I do not have a Costco membership but do have a Sams and if Sams has $1.99 Prime Brisket I am going to get another one!

Never buy frozen turkey`s @ Easter time. You`ll be getting the leftover Turkey`s that weren`t sold the previous Thanksgiving and Christmas. Don`t ask me how I know. Fresh turkeys are A-OK.

^^ Label says $2.99 a pound Amigo. Albertsons & Tom T apply the discount at the register to get to the $1.67/lb. All good…

Good eye young man!

That $2.99 is I guess is a general sale price, not sure why stores have gone to a lower Digital sales price which on the Brisket is $1.67 a lb. and why they do not put it on the product?
Surmising that using their online app allows them to collect personal data from what ever electronic device you use?

Rats. All we have in Sweetwater is Walmart and Brookshires, and the latter carries mostly select beef.

I managed a meat market for them (Brookshires) for 4 years after they bought the Winn Dixie location where I had been working. Never touched select beef until then. Choice or higher was all WD sold. I won`t buy select beef unless I`m going to grind it or run it through my meat tenderizer. By the way, the Sweetwater location is a real money maker for them since there`s no competition other than Walmart. It was the #1 volume store in sales and profit for that district when I left the company.

While I was at the store I picked up a couple of boxes of Texas Chili, wife and I tried it last night and it was pretty good.
Got the brisket trimmed which wasn't a lot, rubbed and back in the fridge then onto the smoker Saturday morning.
Will add more pepper before I throw it on.

That used to be sold under the name of Ft. Worth Chili. Still made in Ft. Worth to . Good brick chili.

How convenient for them. The sale is going to last a week and they ran out the 2nd day of the add. Sounds like ordering for profit and not for sales with no profit.

It`s always better to be looking at it instead of looking for it. You can`t sell it if you don`t have it.

Our Kroger is bad about not keeping the bins full. A couple weeks ago I was there to get a sale brisket and they too only had a couple of giants in the bin. When I went to the meat counter, I could see at least 10 big boxes of them sitting behind the counter. They acted like I wanted a kidney or something when I asked if they could put some out.

In my opinion, that's the best store bought chili.

Tom Thumb is the only corporate grocery store we have besides Walmart. Ours was out of the beef rib roast and normal sized brisket (had some giant ones) and they only had one roast. We did however score a good deal on sausage and the last package of ON SALE bacon.

Pass the gravy.
