Nice sale price on those. Wish they'd have those prices down here. Be sure to support HEB's competitors in your area when you can. Competition is a good thing.
But HEB pretty much put all of their big competitors out of business in these parts and they don't price any sales like that any more. frown

Always grab a few racks when they get below $2/lb.

Absolutely, every time they go on sale we buy at least two. One to smoke and one to grind. Best hamburger for the price and you know how it was dealt with!

Costco just opened a store up the road in Kyle. I’ll be visiting it next week, never been to one before.

I only got one of the brisket. There were only four of the sale ones to choose from, all over 14 pounds and real heavy fat.
I probably trimmed 5 pounds of fat off this one before putting in brine and into the fridge to cook tomorrow.
I’ll pay more for a better one later.
I miss the days of $.99 choice brisket sales.

Couldn't tell you where the nearest HEB store is but Tom Thumb had a much lower price ... until they sold out.

Pass the gravy.

My Tom Thumb had some on Fri morning.

Also had prime rib roast for $4.88. For $60 I got some ribs for the smoker, good tallow makings, and a dozen thick ribeyes for the freezer.
