First a big sideways lighting storm started around 2:30 this morning, then the pea to marble sized hail storm blew in around 3:30. It lasted about 20 minutes. Gonna take a lot longer than 20 minutes to clean up the mess. Grrrrrrr!
Just thankful it was small hailstones.

Just got dumped on heavy dime-size hail (with some quarter-size mixed in) here and super heavy wind/rain , near Valley View.
Ya'll watchout out there - specially east / north-east of me Sherman/Pilot Point/ etc!

Got in the right light this afternoon, my hood on the truck got dinged again. Can’t see any on the top of the cab yet. Had the hood, windshield, and top of cab replaced last year from 4/21 hailstorm. I’ll just live with the new dings.

This was while it was still coming down (before about an inch of rain come down in about 3 minutes that melted it).

(for size reference, that's a regular garden hose out there crossing grass).

Were you there somewhere about 15 years ago when San Marcos had one hell of a hail storm? I drove through there about 30 minutes after the storm had passed and it looked like a war zone.

Yes I was here. Trying to hold an umbrella over the hood of my King Ranch F250 was a futile effort. Out at the outlet mall softball sized hail was penetrating car tops and windshields.
I fought with Travelers Insurance for a year on my roof claim. Since only the west side of the roof was damaged, that’s all they would pay for.

I got beat up here at the north end of Ray Roberts. Ping pong ball size stones. Bed cover didn't do well and some dings in the body of the truck. Several broken windows on the west side of the house. I have a metal roof and I don't think they replace for cosmetic damage. bang

Let me know if anyone needs us to look at any roofs or stop any leaks. It was pretty bad in some areas

Yep, cars had actual holes in them. I saw a Saturn that looked like Swiss cheese because the body was pretty much made out of plastic. Cars parked everywhere because all the windows were busted out. The outlet was obliterated. I was yelling at a car on the highway driving 20 mphs...... that was until I passed him and realized he couldn't see out of his bashed in windshield. I immediately felt bad. That has to be the worst hail storm I have ever seen.
