For those of you around the metromess that fish, any particular guides you like more than others? Kiddo's spring break is right around the corner and was thinking about taking some time off to get him on some fish. The last few trips I've taken him on have been busts including a trip down in Padre and a crappie trip on Lavon. Not sure if the stripers on Texoma have turned on, wouldn't mind catching a big mess of crappie.

The good guides are going to be booked 2-3 weeks out, if not longer, this time of the year

My son and I went with J D Lyle on Texoma for stripers. The trip was enjoyable and successful. He's good, would book again.

Tawakoni you will catch fish. Lots of fish. Couldn't ever get him to return my call back when I tried last year. Michael Littlejohn on Tawakoni has a great group of guides.

I took my son and his friend to Texoma in May 2021 with Adventure Texoma Outdoors. The guide was good and put on fish quickly. Almost too quickly, as we limited in less than 2 hours.

Adventure Texoma Outdoors. John Blasingame. 903-814-5566. I've always had a good trip with him (3 or 4 times now). If the fish aren't biting within a few minutes, You're pulling up and running. He will keep you on fish all morning. I would assume that he is booked, but It'd be worth a call.

Used Joe Read on Tawakoni two different times. Pound for pound Hybrids are one of the best fighting freshwater fish around.

Plenty of guides on Texoma, someone should have an opening. Most are pretty equal and can put you on fish. I’m just tired of the same ol live shad fishing. I prefer to go after them with tackle and artificial these days. If you want steady action then go live bait

Michael Littlejohn on Lake Tawakoni, or Stripers Inc. on Texoma.

For Texoma striper, I've used a couple, but had the best experience with Striper Express. They'll get you on some topwater action and it's an absolute blast. They even catered to those of us that wanted to catch one on the fly rod. You can load up with sandies too.
UCatchem Guide Service on Ray Roberts is also a great outfit. Jim and Kenny are really good guides and even better people.
