First rifle 7mm Finbear model L61R produced between 1962-1973. Pre-Garcia. Redfield Tracker 3x9 scope included. $1250.00 Second rifle 220Swift Foerster model L579 produced between 1974-1977. Pre-Garcia. Leupold Vari-X III 3.5x10 scope included. $1100.00 I've only found one other 220swift in my search out of 100 guns. Guns in excellent condition and were rarely used. Face to face in Collin County. Not interested in trading. Top gun in pictures is 220swift. Bottom is 7mm. Ouch ...I cannot believe I'm seeing this SAKO 7Rmg is still up for sale. Brings lots of fond memories from back in "The Day" when I sold these by the truckload for Stoger Industries in 7 states and have sold off all my super looking and shooting rifles right out of the box.
How values change...this week end the Better Half is in western Oklahoma with our youngest, a Gifted and Talented School Teacher and shopping for a very special Scotts Terrier puppy for more than double the $'s being asked for this very nice looking SAKO 7rmg. Son's last Scotty lived a long meaningful and fruitful life raising my English Setters or French Britainy's , and our gift of another Scotty has been well earned. I could learn to live with a house full of them, again.

Sooner or later I'll stumble into enough sheckels to finish off all my efforts to bring that kind of a Sako home again , for one of the last rifles I'll ever buy. Built back when SAKO's were 100% hand built and tuned.
Just need to bite the bullet and get back into the Puppy Business again, only this time in Scot's Terriers @ mega $'s instead of English Setters or Golden Retriever bird dogs. The Better Half and the youngest son are scheduled to go up to western Kansas for the pickup on this Saturday morning....just hoping the weather will cooperate.
