Looking for a few relatively inexpensive steel target set-ups. Some for rimfire and some for centerfire rifle. Anyone have any experience with any from BPS that are worth buying? I have a gift card I need to use. Not looking for something to hold up to thousands of rounds, just something to plink at during the off-season. Recommendations appreciated.
Thanks

Look at Yankee Thunder out of Utah.
3 pieces of 1" electrical conduit, and you're good to go for a stand. Buy their AR 500 steel hooks, they're standard ones are too soft. There, setup shows to use 2 hooks per target. I use only one, and it works just fine.
I purchased my AR 500 targets from Jeff on here. I think he's out of Valleyview.

Just make sure whatever targets you are looking at are AR-500, 3/8” thickness should be good unless you are shooting .338 Lapua or larger.
Academy has some plates in the $30 range, and then you just need a stand to hold them.

I really like what I have. AR500 steel plates that hang from a Tpost utilizing a hanger. Warhorse Weaponary in Decatur sells various sizes and the hanger, like the one shown that Rockin B outdoors also sells. The targets at Warhorse come unpainted, my preference. I lay them flat, place a nickel in the metal, paint two coats, flip, repeat. Leaves the right sized black center dot. Using t posts is really convenient. They come out of the ground easily if you need to move them. You can also place two tposts a couple of feet apart to wire a target board up for your 100 yard zero.
An unethical shot is one you take, that you know you shouldn't.

I built my own. 1 inch thick piece of steel plate. I drilled(after heating with a torch) a couple of holes at the “top”. Then a couple of steel rods in the holes. This allows me to lean the top forward so spent bullets are directed to the ground. I buy the sheets of 100 that have 4 small targets that I cut separately and staple them to cardboard. It’s portable. This one is for 22 no powder colibri’s at my citified home in the fenced back yard It relieves boredom and allows me to practice trigger pull.
On my rural property, I have some wooden cross ties that I’ve stacked and braced. Then screwed on a piece of plywood to staple targets to. I have stations at 25 and 100 yards.

.22 lr 1/4" AR-400 is sufficient.
Center fire, 3/8" AR-500 inside 500 yards will hold for a while. But 1/2" AR-500 is what I have on my range 500 yards and less.
I would avoid targets with tabs. They will eventually break off. Mine are hung from retired fire hose. Hay baler belt is also good. If you hang them from chains, you will cut the chains with bullets.

JG is spot on. I have also used 3/8" mild steel for .22 and have had zero issues. You just have to make sure that everyone who shoots your range knows which targets are .22 only.
I get my retired fire hose from my sister, but I'm sure if you went to your local fire station and asked, they would save some hose for you next time the had some retired hose.

Built my own using 1” electrical conduit, AR500 hangers and brackets for the legs. Easy to assemble and disassemble. Use Velcro straps to keep the legs together and throw in the back of the truck.

This is the plate and hardware I hang off of a 2x4 screwed to a cedar post in my backyard. It's easy to hang and take down. $45.00 from HERE: (Amazon Link) Hanger installed
