Plenty of potential problems with a gas gun and a silencer. Get a piston.

I will say it depends on the suppressor. I shoot a 30 cal suppressor on all my .223, 6.8, and 300 BO ARs without an issue. I do, however, have adjustable gas blocks on all of them. If that gas block is adjustable and your suppressor is not a big ol' steel one, then go for it. If your suppressor is a nice lightweight one and your gas block is not adjustable, get one that is and then go for it. Very easy to tune the gas block to get the gun to operate correctly with or without the suppressor.

This would be no issue, you would give up a little sound suppression, but the gun would run cleaner due to less back pressure. I often use a .358/9mm suppressor on a .30cal so the gun runs cleaner.
You don't need a pistol gun to use a suppressor!

Other than what they said, I always check barrel alignment. I’ve got a gas gun and have had no problems shooting suppressed. Not all has blocks are adjustable either.

Most 30 cal suppressors are going to have 5/8-24 threads. You are going to need an adapter to fit it on a 1/2-28. Not a big deal but something else to buy.

Gemtech used to make a neat little Bolt Carrier that had a toggle on it for suppressed shooting or unsuppressed.

Buy a different end cap from the suppressor maker if possible (both ends if you can). I cringe on stacking adapter tolerances. I know a lot of folks do it with no problems, I still don't like the setup.
