I am looking for a takeoff stock for a Howa 1500 mini action. I am trying to build a youth hunting rig for my son and I am looking for either a youth stock, or a stock I can cut down. Doesn’t have to be pretty, just funcional.

I’ve got a full size stock?
If the stores closed up tomorrow, a man should have enough Ammunition, Bic lighters,Tabasco sauce, Whiskey, and freeze dried Coffee to last him and his family until the casket.

A full size stock for the mini action? If so that would be great. What type of material is it made out of?

There is a guy on Snipershide with a coyote camo mini stock for sale, last I looked he was asking $150 shipped. It's the rigid synthetic stock.

Boyd’s has a nice selection. I bought a couple for some mini Grendels. That was my first thought, but they only offer down to a 13" LOP. Still looking for a cheap one.

Brownell’s has them for like $85
some people like silver and gold
I like brass and lead with a little powder in between

Yessir, I didn’t want to have to fool with trying to cut down a hollow synthetic stock, but it looks like that’s the route I’ll be going.

What contour barrel?
I have a 6.5 Grendel HB that I was thinking about replacing with a carbon fiber Stocky's.
