Great season….tough yet steady. Not too optimistic last 2 weekends. Lots of birds have fleed N TX. Still have good numbers of Mallards and teal in Fannin Co. South of I20 went from 100+ on wetland, to 30or so last week, do zero last night.

May be one of those days we’re you get 5-10 in the dekes and better clean them up!

Solo hunt this morning. All dropped in and with no circling. Not what l expected for late season

Me & my son got 10 this AM & got every bird that got in range. Definitely gotta be on the A game now. Gonna hunt evey day of the remaining season except for Mon. Getting very depressed on the season ending.

Found a nice group of Mallards on my place yesterday. This morning we shot a 4 man limit mostly Ring Necks and zero Mallards….Crazy don’t know where the mallards went but we had some action. It’s been tough for us. Last Thursday hunted a different area. Saw 7 ducks total and shot 2.

And here I am just hoping to get a chance to even take a shot or two. Been very slow for me this year. Also only hunting public land too.

It has been overall a tough season for me. Drought played a big part of it for stuff I hunt….

Hunting again in the morning. Called 5 different buddies and none could go even though the action was hot this morning. Guess l need to find some new friends that don’t have stuff more important than duck hunting. Sheesh
