As stated by DNA results. Please, no high cheek bones, my great uncle was Chief Big Nose of the Fugawe tribe, etc. Just DNA.
FYI, As a youngster, I was told I was, but my DNA said no way. If it can show I'm. 2% Finn, it would show Native American blood and didn't.
So how about your DNA results?

I would say yes, but I refuse to do the DNA services where they harvest all your info. Call my a conspiracist, I just don't know how that info doesn't wind up in the hands of insurance companies or something else later in an attributable fashion

So only dna results…. Not registered. Kinda odd by the OP

Are you aware that 2 brothers can show different dna tracing? Doesn’t mean you don’t have ancestors that were natives.

My Great grandma, and my grandma and her brother are on the creek rolls in Oklahoma. they were the last in our family to meet the requirements. If I have any, it's not much.

edit. found my Great Grampas card. He was a 1/16.

There is no minimum etc as I’m told. Both of my children have their Cherokee nation card via my wife’s grandfather.

From just doing family ancestry research, I've learned that I do. But it's so far back I won't claim I did....unless I was a politician

I thought I heard or read somewhere that tribes do not accept dna 🧬 for membership. Which is interesting.

My great grandmother lived on the reservation (she was 1/2 Cherokee) and my grandfather was a carded member. That would make me a 1/16th but I’m the whitest looking guy ever so I don’t even bother bringing it up.

Grandmother ( dads mom) was 100% German and moms dad was 100% Czech so the European genes are much stronger.

I claim I get my hunting prowess from the Jaeger gene residing within me

Did the DNA thing. Traced my mom's mother to the Dogrib in Alaska, my dad's mom to the Algonquin and my dad's father to the White Mountain and Navajo reservations in Arizona.

Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.

Yes, I have my Cherokee Nation card as well. Great-grandfather on mother's side was 100%.

By my understanding from my wife, she is 1/16 native american indian (tribe I can not remember, but was more midwest tribe since that is where we are from), so my kids would be 1/32, but there is no proof to that claim.

Neither of us have given any DNA samples, not gonna either

The wife turned up 14% Andean Indian. Her Bolivian grandfather was obviously lying about being mostly "Basque". Mother-in-law gets pissed when I bring it up. roflmao

never gotten a dna test and likely never will. My dad said my mother had enough to get a card but mom refused to do it ... so I might never know for sure. I have 1st cousins on both sides (father & mother)that were big into ancestry dating back multiple generations on our family names but haven't branched out much on the maiden side going backwards.

Over half native blood...... I was the opposite, my grandfather was supposed to be a quarter German..... he even learned German. DNA proved otherwise.....he passed thinking he was German.

DNA opens up a can of worms sometimes.

I don't care what my DNA says I am, I am me and that is all that matters.

The only thing my DNA will show is my chance of dying at some point is 100%. After that, its a bunch of guesswork and percentages

From what I was told by my mother, my great grandmother was half, so I deduct I am at least 1/16th Cherokee. Never been tested and don't plan to be. Being a 4th generation Okie, guessing we all have a bit of native blood.

No DNA but my grandfather was born on the reservation and was on the original rolls. I have a CDIB card from the BIA in my name that i obtained by tracking that lineage with birth and death certificates.

My sister had her DNA done. No surprises, and I’ll just go with what she found. Ah, but the wife had her DNA done, with a more involved result. Her older brother’s unknown love child got in touch and then the fun started. All is well now, and she has a new nephew that is way better than any nephews (or nieces) she already had. Other than him being a Florida State drooling football fanatic, I like him. Get beer in him and he does that tomahawk chop thing.

My stories of lineage come from both sides. The most interesting story comes from my Grandpa Walker. His grandmother was known as “Alabama Walker” it’s on her gravestone. Was told nobody knew her real name so they called her Alabama and that she came this way on trail of tears as a child. My mother told me that she was alive when her and my dad were dating and 1st married. Lived to be pretty old in a cabin back in the woods. Mother said she was half crazy.

Thinking about it over the years it’s sad that someone’s entire identity and past goes away in one generation. Not even knowing their name.
