Sniper, you've got hardwoods, did they drop many acorns? We have very few hardwoods around us, mostly mesquites..

We had a decent acorn crop this season, but I hunt in a creek bottom. I don't think we had any pecans this season. Lots of pecan trees here too. I'm in my best stand this evening. First hunt from it this trip. I saw nothing today.

The deer seem to go fairly nocturnal and/or being harvested...

I have been seeing them out during the day at the other stand I was hunting since Thursday. So I was expecting the same at the one that has had no hunting pressure. Camera had lots of day pictures too, so something changed today.
