Palmetto State Armory made pistols, Glock knock-off?

I would consider PSA to be kit or hobby level. Sure they make good stuff but plenty of reliable mfgs that have been doing a whole lot longer than them. If they are still at it 10yrs from now I may change my tune.

Have been carrying mine off and on, SW1 slide no RMR, put a Zev trigger spring kit in it. I like it alot, grip fits me better than my 19 did. Shoots as good as my 19 and 17 did. I haven't hit 10k rounds or anything yet, but I like it. Lifetime no questions warranty with PSA, there's alot worse ways to spend 300$
The only thing flat earthers have to fear is sphere itself

Why pick your boogers buzz when you can get something proven for not much more money Thats the thing. What are you saving? $100-$200? Might as well just buy something proven. PSA is kind of a jack of all trades, master of none which is not really my style.

The PSA dagger is a gen 3 glock clone. Perfectly fine and functional. Some people prefer the brand name while some people don’t mind the generic…same ingredients
A real hunter never returns empty handed. Spending time in the wilderness temporarily satifies the soul, but leaves us longing for more.

hell no, I wouldn't buy one, Yall know me better than that.
My neighbor is shopping a defense gun since he had a scary experience in a local parking lot, yes, Frisco is going Ghetto.
I don't think his budget will be very large cuz he's just a normal, albeit very conservative politically. Not a gun guy like most of us.
I was thinking a Taurus GX4 Toro for him unless he tells me he's got a $1K budget.

I've got a couple and really like them. Fit me better than the Glock. I am usually a "get what you pay for" guy, but I can't find fault with the dagger. I wouldn't hesitate to carry it.
It's not like the price of the Glock is tied to better materials or manufacturing costs.

A knock off Glock is like generic ramen noodles. I’d normally agree with you, but my shadow systems is a “knock off glock” and it’s what a Glock should be from the factory. If it was I’d still have all my Glocks instead of shadow systems.

And the topic of this thread is a lot like a chainsaw thread. Just buy a Stihl and be done with it. The thing works. Just buy a Glock and be done with it, the thing works. I never will understand someone buying something to defend their life, and at the same time try to save 10-20% of the money on an unproven pistol.

I had one. Shot a whole clip through it so it’s infallible and everyone should carry one.
I put probably 200 rounds through the one I had and it was fine. However holsters aren’t the easiest to find so I’d say buy something else if he actually wants to carry it.
The secret to a long life is to try not to shorten it.

I can currently get a Blue label glock 19 Gen 5 for the same price as the Dagger, so there’s no comparison there. Would I buy one just to have? Yeah, I haven’t held one yet and waiting to. Maybe it’s worth it?

The grip at least is an improvement. It actually points where I point it.

I shot one once, honestly it would be a ideal glove box gun for what they cost. It goes bang it never had a hiccup or a jam and my friend who has it shoots some of the cheapest crappy ammo I have ever seen.. it seems to just run right along with no problem.

When there weren't better options for that kind of gun it made sense to try it. Glock was a big deal as an intermediate step toward lighter pistols; kinda like Tesla is moving automobiles in a new direction. Most plastic pistol designs have since surpassed Glocks. Unless you've been handicapped by training yourself to use a Glock, there is no reason to adopt it now. Doing so retards you from progressing to better pistols.

A proper comparison of Tesla and firearms would be discarding the metallic cartridge and going back to cap and ball. I have pretty much every handgun you can think of and shoot on a range three mornings a week. Despite having access to just about anything that I want I carry a Glock daily and a Ruger revolver. Please explain what a Glock is lacking that other guns have.

Just because something works for you (Glock) doesn't mean it works for everyone. People's hands are different. It just makes sense to use one that naturally points for you. For me that is Browning designs or copies of such. The Glock 17/19 don't fit my hands like the High Powers, 1911s, CZ75, etc. Therefore, I use them more.
I purchased a PSA Dagger for uses around deer camp as I wanted a polymer pistol in 9mm that I didn't mind beating the chit out of. I have a PSA store within 15 miles and I don't like Glocks. So, I bought one of the full-size ones with the standard slide and night sights. I have put around 500 rounds through mine now. 400 of those have been 124 grain ball ammo, the other 100+ have been Hornady Critical Defense. It has yet to have a hiccup. The fact that grip is better than the Glock 17, it uses G17 mags (I am using the P-Mag versions that come with it), comes with night sights, and has a DLC coating on the slide and barrel are all great options for the price point.
Oh, and in regards to holsters, the Compact uses G19 holsters, the full-size uses G17.
As for not being proven, the same was said about their ARs not too long ago. Are they a Daniel Defense? Nope, but they just plain work, as do their AKs.

So much Glock hate. If it’s not your thing, it’s not your thing. It’s still one of the best combat handguns ever designed no matter how much you hate it. To say it’s inferior, is laughable.
