I don't know anything about it, except for the Johhny Walker Black I drank overseas that helped get the BO out of my nose.
What is a good top of the line Scotch, for a Scotch drinker? The best without spending thousands.

Kinda off topic:
Tequila = mezcal (burnt tequila)
Whiskey- scotch (burnt whiskey)
No thanks!

Glenlivet (for a single malt).
Chivas (for a blended).
There's a hundred more to discuss.

Aberlour A’Bunadh good stuff. Smokey, peety and smoooooth. Most scotch is low proof and I typically don’t enjoy anything under 100 proof. This one’s great, doesn’t smell like dirty socks and has a little proof. Worth every penny!

First cocktail I ever made was "Three fingers Chivas and Sprite" for my pawpaw.
My wife is the Scotch drinker, I never developed a taste for it but I haven't tried in years. She likes Balvenie 14 and Craigellachie 17, both Speyside Scotches.
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

The folks. South of us really like the Buchanan 18. I’ve drank a lot of it with good results
I thought whiskey was expensive until I look at scotch.. I’ll mostly pass

First time I ever tried Scotch I was 16. Was a bottle of I don't know what in the trunk of a hot car but it was Scotch. I was trying to impress a really hot girl and took a shot or two, Next thing I knew I was trying to break up a fight and faceplanted in the sand. I never got hit, but that Scotch threw a hard upper cut.

Glenlivet if nothing else is available.

Can’t go wrong with Johnny Walker. Blue or Black. Those are especially good for someone who wants to dabble a bit before jumping into more complex offerings. Personally I don’t care for Scotch. Have had some really good ones but the flavor profile is not for me. Prefer bourbons.
To be determined

Can’t go wrong with Johnny Walker. Blue or Black. I’m surprised these are listed together. I really like the Blue but can’t afford to drink it very often. It’s the only scotch that I can say I like.

When I was 18 or 19, my neighbor wanted someone to celebrate a new contract he won with, so he found me coming home from work. He broke out a bottle of JW Blue and we started drinking. About 2 glasses later he hands me the bottle and he leaves to meet his wife for dinner. I had no idea what he gave me, so we poured it into trash can punch later that night.

Never acquired a taste for Scotch, When I worked for Goody Goody liquors way back I use to keep a bottle of Chivas and Johnny Walker Red & Black at the apartment for friends, but I would not touch the stuff.

Aberlour A’Bunadh good stuff. Smokey, peety and smoooooth. The Alba runs around $90. Cask Strength is just north of a hundred when you can find it. If you like the A'Bunadh try this one. It's a barrel proof Sherry aged scotch as well and fantastic.

Not big on scotch but my dad and grandmother are huge scotch drinkers. So I bought them both a bottle for xmas. Their favorite is lagavulin 16.... $95 a bottle at total wine. Hope they like it lol. I have some really nice liquors in the cabinet, but I RARELY drink the stuff. I am either having a refreshing beer or nothing at all. When I hit the hard stuff, I am usually celebrating or getting over something. Then I regret it the next day and lock the cabinet because I aint going near anytime soon.
