He made a perfect heart shot on this deer and the thing still ran 30 yards. When he got on the gun, you could almost feel his heart pounding out of his chest and I thought deer would hear his nervous breathing. There was almost no wind and the spike was about 50 yards from the blind when he took the shot. The 6.8 SST hit the heart and you could see blood pumping from the entrance wound. It was a super easy tracking job due to amount of blood. So far he’s killed a hog, 3 turkeys and now his first deer. Super proud of him.
