Getting the itch to get out calling coyotes, been a little bit since dove/deer season has been going on. Normally call without a decoy as to not draw attention in my general direction, have had coyotes run up and bite the caller too. I would like to kill one with a shotgun though. How do y’all like to call them? I understand different setups/terrain can be a deciding factor.

I have a large white feather on about 16" of string that goes to a fiberglass rod. Even a 1-2 MPH wind will make the feather move all around. They fix on it rather than me and it works great.

I always use a decoy. Feather or a MOJO. Love watching them come in to it. Had a bobcat so focused on decoy he didn't pay no attention when I had to bolt a shell in. Forgot to load up.

I always use a decoy. Mine has a thin piece of fur that moves around to get and keep their attention.
