mojo pole, calls, hunters ed card once, facemask a few times, and the list goes on. What kills me is when you forget something and you go out hunting anyways and the birds are flaring or just not coming in and you start to wonder if its because you forgot that one thing.

Start taking kids hunting and preparation and forgetting crap goes to a whole new level. scared

Check list is always good, top 5:

1) Hunting License
2) Gun
3) Shells
4) Waders/coat/gloves
5) deeks

Got this and you are not completly hosed, unless you got a boat, then that would be another top 50. grin

I forgot shotgun shells on a dove hunt once. I had 13 in an old bag. Needless to say, I killed 9 birds that afternoon. The guy I was hunting with, thought I was a sharpshooter or something! It turned out to be my best day ever shooting!

Toilet paper.

While I remember leaves being a viable option during my youth, they just don't cut it anymore.

something is wrong with your dog then. Cali makes damn sure that I'm not gonna leave without her. I think if I let here should would probably run to the lake on her own.

I sware it wasn't me but a couple a years ago we loaded up three vehicles with 10 hunters heading out for an evening dove hunt. It wasn't until he got out of the truck in the field that one of my friends realized he was still wearing the flip-flops he had been wearing around camp.
Lucky for him I always carry a pair of camo boots in my toolbox. He was glad to get the boots even if he had to wear them without socks because no one was going to drive the bonehead back to town, the doves were flying too good.

Key to unlock the trailer to my boat. Luckly, the next door neighbor that was real good friends with my Granddad had the master key.

OFF! on a south texas teal hunt

Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."

needless to say I don't use trigger locks anymore- and by the way if you try to open it with a Gerber or Leatherman all you get is a beat up trigger guard and a busted lock...

Wasn't born in Texas, but I got there as fast as I could.
