With the advanced technology available today, I'm always astonished that ANY defective firearms make it to the market. But they do sometimes.

I have a slightly older Sig (thankfully a different model), and would hate to think that it could accidentally go off while holstered.

Like you I saw this early this morning. How can Sig’s attorneys believe they can fight this? If just a couple of the victims had their unmodified Sig 320s loaded with different brands of factory ammo carried in holsters where the trigger was / is completely protected and the weapon wasn’t dropped (I know not supposed to fire even when dropped.), where is the defense?

This may well be the end of Sig Sauer.

Just my 2 cents

Well that sucks - I expect it will cause folks to sour on Sig...

It wont be the end of Sig but itll certainly hurt them. Kinda how Eotech lost a huge following but they are still kicking. I sold off my M17 because it felt super cheap compared to my P226 - almost like a toy. Its clear that Sig designed it for mass production at the lowest cost possible. They already had to recall it once and there’s apparently still issues. Dont know how valid the claims are of a gun gng off by itself but there sure are a bunch of instances with this gun and not hearing this of other manufacturers. Too many other good options out there, including Sig offerings, to waste time with the 320 platform.

I posted this link on TFF. It seems that this is not a new problem.

Anyone who wants to get rid of their dangerous Sigs and Remington Model 70's can send them to me.

Yeah, bought one of the first Springfield 45 XD's year ago and it was in on a recall. It happens every once in a while. It came back with a smoother trigger.
