Texas now has a new bullet manufacturer.

Lehigh Defense manufacturer of the highest quality solid copper bullets has moved from Rapid City, SD to Clarksville, TX and our new 16,800 sq ft plant is now fully operational. All bullet manufacturing and OEM shipping is done at the new plant with boxed bullet and ammunition sales through our sister company Wilson Combat in NW AR.

Besides Lehigh Defense Ammo and Wilson Custom Ammo we supply OEM bullets to Black Hills Ammunition, Gorilla Ammo, Grind Hard Ammo, Sig Ammunition, SBR Ammunition, Ultimate Ammo and Underwood Ammunition.

Besides Wilson Combat boxed bullets are also available from Black Hills Shooters Supply, Graf, Midway, Natchez and Powder Valley.

Here's a few photos inside the plant:

Well done. This has to be great for the local job market. How many employees, and did some relocate?

Congratulations.

Not counting me, we currently have 11 total, we retained 3 from the old operation. The nice thing about this operation is that it's mostly automated so we don't need a lot of employees like up at WC where we have over 220. I feel very fortunate to have been able to assemble such a good team so quickly. GREAT group of guys and gals!

Am I seeing CNC lathes, that auto feed rod stock?

Yes 12 ft copper rods, they can run unattended for 10-15 hours depending on the length and complexity of the bullet assuming no tooling issues. We have 21 single spindle machines and 1 four spindle machine. We also have an automated processor that we don't have set-up yet, once operational we dump oily bullets right off the machines in and degreased, polished and dried bullets come out. We're doing this manually now as 3 separate operations.

This just a guess but I suspect these bullets are happier being born here. Hah!

Congratulations and welcome to Texas.
I have always been amazed watching the CNC machines work. I did QC work at the refinery I worked at and was impressed at the repeated accuracy and surface finish they could produce with a well trained operator.
