I have been contemplating taking this basket rack buck only thing holding me back is the AR’s.

For starters, really cool buck! My kind of deer and love the super tall with a side of basket case type bucks. Several will tell you too close to call and don’t risk it, but l strongly believe he makes it and goes between 13.5 and 14.

Yes, at his widest part, the bow of his rack he is but only by .25"-.5" or so.

Agree. Also, the height of the rack makes the width appear more narrow than it really is IMO.

You could also age the teeth to prove he's at least 3-1/2 which satisfies the spirit of AR's.

Thanks everyone, I do have day light pics of him I’ve been watching him for 3 years now. Im going to have it look him over if I see him this week.

I shot a similar buck a few years ago and was sure he was over 13" ... he was exactly 13 with not a razor to spare. I would say on this one, it will be close, but I would take it. Nice buck and will probably never get much wider.
