I will provide a hint to who I think it is - KWood_TSU - I will have to give him credit though - he spoke with reason in the last post he had on here. 2flyfish4 even agreed with him.

What's funny is I don't fit any of the package. I wish I could afford the entire sitka collection though, and the timber pattern is stupid.

No shame in my game. I wear Sitka Timber head to toe! Most comfortable hunting gear I’ve ever owned and I can afford it! Lol. So that could be me on the package. But JW knows I don’t have that much hair, nor am I that skinny!

But JW knows I don’t have that much hair, nor am I that skinny! I am with Sinkey here, Sitka is the absolute best stuff. I do have a hoodie from duckcamp I REALLY like as well. Lets see if I qualify though.... Shotgun- As far as the benelli... had one, think my versamax and cheapa O/U is better because I am hard on my gear. Lab - is named Ivy, shes a goober for sure but coming around. Miss my ol' girl ALL THE TIME. Some ashes still sit on my lanyard and make sure she is on every hunt with me. Location- Hunt lots of public but do send out 75 thank you cards to farmers every year, never have paid a penny to hunt them. Always on a handshake and good faith I leave their property better than I showed up to it. I will spend some money and help rebuild ponds for cattle during the off season if one of the properties has a tragedy. I have helped rebuild a blown out dam and have helped another farmer who had a major water line break. Those things go a LONG ways in the farming community as a hunter. Calls- Trusty ol zink ph2, have a buddies new era double bander, have an OLD SCHOOL red zone bill saunders, and a vendetta speck call..... The collection is HUGE but I always go back to the old school stuff. No heaters for me, but every once in awhile in the freezing freezing cold I bring one along a heater buddy for an A-frame blind if I have the chance to hunt in comfort. Otherwise I am relying on my gear to keep me warm. No social media, pictures are for the wall in the duck cave at home. If you have the pleasure of coming into my home, you have the pleasure of seeing what 15 years of how hard work pays off. Otherwise, I am not trying to impress anyone. By no means do I consider myself a professional photographer. So I think I am only a Sitka guy, and gosh dang that stuff is really good. I couldn't imagine life without it at this point.

at least Sitka isnt as bad as claiming to be a real duck hunter, but only hunting private...so there is that I guess Is only hunting private not make you a real duck hunter? I guess it is one thing if you hunt your own property and it is ALWAYS loaded. But I hunt LOTS of private and hunt LOTS of public. I still scout all the properties, have to know the migration pattern on when birds will be on the properties and know if there is food or not that year on the properties. I think people define "hunting" as successfully shooting birds and shooting limits. I definitely defined it this way when I was younger, but as I became more and more successful, what I learned was understanding reason. Why are the birds there? why are birds holding in the area? How does water level affect migrations year to year? What areas have I killed bands from areas and what caused them to be there that time of year and not other times of years? This is an interesting statement garrett, I actually like it because it made me really think for a second. In all honesty, if I never had to put another pair of waders on and could only hunt little slough ponds and fields for the rest of my life, I would love that. On private, EVEN BETTER, less competition. I also scout and hunt a lot of public because I will also go where the birds are but I definitely don't knock the guy who only has the privilege of hunting private. End of the day, still have to set up right, still have to call them in, and still have to finish them down to shoot them.

I still have no clue who we're talking about. And I've been here 12 years. But I was never any good at this social stuff anyways.

forgot about this thread...glad I saw it again. Of course public hunters are better rounded hunters than private land hunters, I stand by that statement, anyone that cant see the forest for the trees most likely owns a silver lab anyways, so whatever
Now as far as the meanie members of years pasts I think it comes down to age and experience. Back when I first joined it was a lot like a campfire session around here. No one was worried about hero shots, or being a prostaff, it was all in fun and a way to kill time. Then came along Duck Dynasty and make every kid wanted to be a duck hunter. Found a forum and wanted to be taken serious and feel important (natural human want). Being a little more thin skinned than the previous generations they would be bent out of shape over little things, which in turn was just adding fuel to the fire.
In my opinion its the "I'm important look at me and what gear I tag in an Instagram post" that is killing the hunting industry.

All those duck dynasty hash tag wannabes are now guides and outfitters. Still hash tagging everything they can, posting hero shots, whoring themselves out to be on the prostaff, and doing everything else they can do to be relevant. Unfortunately they are doing more harm to the sport than they ever have....
