I am seriously looking at getting a red dot sight for my C2 pistol. Now before I go on any further I must admit I am not a pistol or hand gunner. However I got this Staccato C2 duo and am going to put a reflex sight on it. T have pretty much narrowed it down to the Holosun brand. From what I have learned I am going green dot because of stigmatism.
can some one give me the pros and cons of the 407's 507's, & 508's..

I run the 407cX2 on all my handguns and about to buy another for my CZ Scorpion. I think the 507’s are multi reticles but all I want is the dot so never tried the 507’s. I’m not familiar with the 508’s.

I’m very happy and will buy this optic if I want a reflex sight.

So far I’ve been impressed with them… but to be fair, I’ve never tried any other brand so I have nothing to compare it to. The first one I got was the HE507C-GR. It has the solar panel on the top of it and it’s a little bigger so it fits great on a full size pistol. The one I bought yesterday is the HS507K and it’s a smaller/more narrow version made for carry pistols. I couldn’t find it in green, so I went with red, and it’s gonna work just fine.

It’s my understanding the 407 only has one dot, where the 507 has 3 reticles to choose from. A 2moa dot, a 32moa circle, or the circle with the dot. I have no idea about the 508’s. Make sure you get the right size for your gun, and I bet you really like it.

I have a 507c on one of my competition guns. No problems so far.

If you have astigmatism look through it before you buy it. Shaped reticles are usually less blurry than plain dots.

I guess I’m just used to all my dots looking like a starburst grin

Same, I’m actually moving back towards Red Dots from the Prism sights. They look like starburst to me, but they’re just faster for me than the prism.

I can't tell the difference between red and green really, but I can definitely tell that amber/orange is the worst for me.

https://reddotshooters.com/holosun-507c-vs-508t/

I have astigmatism-- the Trijicon RMR and SRO work just fine and I've shot behind Holosuns as well with no issue.

If this is a pistol you are carrying for work or daily CC then the RMR is the gold standard. Lots of guys are having success with the Holosuns as well.

That said-- if it is a range/plinking/bedside gun-- Id look hard at the SRO-- the larger window is AWESOME- and I believe they are now stating them as 'duty rated' but I put the jagerwerks 'BRO' on both of mine.

All good choices-- final, parting thoughts-- don't ignore closed emitter options (I think the Holosun is the 509 series)- there are some good advantages in that type of system and don't forget the newer Holoson EPS- it is their newest sight and offers a lower height than other models which can potentially co-witness factory sights-- I don't know enough on the Staccatos to know if there are any issues with milling depth and sight heights but the EPS could give good options.
