If you do, he may not make it over the pen fencing. Looks like an old tank of a cull buck.

He's as big as he's ever going to get. Time to take him out I think he has another 15-20lbs left in him…. That deer needs an arrow or a bullet
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

If you like him and want to tag him then do so. Why would you care what anybody else thinks? Your tag, fill it however you want. For the life of me I cannot understand why anybody would think they need to get input on what deer to put on the game pole. This fascination with the size of a deer's rack and constant talking about it will be the undoing of hunting. Non-hunters overwhelmingly support hunting for the table but not for the sake of trophies and when trophies are all hunters talk about it begins the process of going down a dangerous slope. There have been states that have put forms of hunting on the ballot and have gotten them outlawed, spring bear in CO for instance, bear in NJ for another instance. With all the people coming into the state that have no hunting background if something goes on the ballot it very well could get passed.
Hunt for the sake of the hunt, not the size of the rack if you want to ensure your grandkids can hunt when they are your age. Now, I know a bunch of you will hoist the BS flag but I saw it happen in my native CO when all the CA transplants came in. If they could do it in CO, they can do it here too.

Plain & simple, that there buck will be sausage. Gonna name him either Buzz or Brother in Law. He never got there and doesn't need to breed anything else. He also doesn't need to "hurt" another buck or break down the back of a doe. We get to shoot four this year and no way on Earth (none) that buck gets a pass - he will be very high on the "target list". I am hoping a SIL or guest gets him.
Somes on here do not grasp that which is "tongue in cheek".

You are right QMC don't take these idiots for granted, they are spreading like cancer, as far as the buck I would take him out this year.

Now, I know a bunch of you will hoist the BS flag but I saw it happen in my native CO when all the CA transplants came in. If they could do it in CO, they can do it here too. There is a happy middle ground. I believe in management for optimal herd health and big racked animals are a byproduct of a mature and properly managed herd. Big racked animals are fascinating to hunters and non hunters alike and have been for hundreds and hundreds of years, so it’s hard to discount the pursuit and reverence for unique specimens as a recent invention. The public perception of trophy hunting is that a hunter shoots the trophy animal and throws the carcass away. That is why “trophy hunting “ gets backlash from the largely uninformed non hunting community.
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

You better shoot him outside that pen, otherwise you'll need a crane to get him out!

Mistakes happen cuz usin human beings are involved and I be one of them. This one never should've been allowed to live this long. Wish I could tell him from prior years, but honestly cannot. If STX were here, I would hear all about "Dominant Regression" and this is just an example of how right he can be. It's not like we have the freedom to just shoot everything and not have to give passes to borderline deer.
I have a winch in the rear of the taco that will have Buzz's name on it.

Maybe it’s just me but the humor factor on threads like this one of Huds that were posted not that many years ago on this forum were a ton of fun...cutting up and taken for what they were meant to be...good natured tongue in cheek humor. Nowadays it seems many of those type threads get dissected and go through a critical analysis vetting process. I don’t get it....

I understand you don’t think people should be concerned with the opinions of other hunters but should be concerned with the perceptions of non-hunters. U B U.
