I have a 77/22 boat paddle that I bought 30 years ago, with the green inserts, which are the ones desired by collectors . I bought some of the wooden inserts and installed. I have been kicking my self for years for making this switch. A couple of weeks back , I pulled the foam from a hard gun case , low and behold , there were the green inserts. I need to switch them back out and sell that piece. MO

How about the Savage 340 chambered in 30-30 Win? Had one since I started sixty years ago. I turned it into a "scout" rifle about 6 or 7 years ago. Still out there, thumping critters. I bought this SMLE No. 4 for $1XX less than a decade ago. It was a real beater, having served as a ranch rifle for decades. It was filthy, but I cleaned up the bore; the first shot was impressive and continued to be so the more I worked with it. I decided it needed to be reborn. I like working with the 303 British cartridges. It continues to be an amazing rifle.

I believe I found our winner. Okay, let’s just call it ugly.

I'll take it. My wife's maiden name is Leopard. True story.

Ya'lls standards are pretty high for ugly rifles. Beauty is always in the eyes of the beholder. While a rifle with a leopard-skinned stock is ugly to me, others may see it as beautiful.
