I have a Champion converter generator. I’m using ethanol free gas. I have cleaned the air filer and put oil back into the filter. I am getting carb or black powder build up real quick which causes me to loose power. I took the screen cover off to blow the exhaust out better. I have changed the oil. Any idea why I’m getting a build up so quick?

Is the choke partially on? That would do it.

Yep, she's running rich with too much fuel and not enough air. The spark plug should tell you a lot. It should be light gray and not sooty black. Too light gray or more white and she's running too lean. Wet black or greasy and she's burning oil.
