I will be in the middle of a hunting trip when I fly to an Army reserve drill in mid November. I will need a place to park my loaded SUV for about 4 days while I am gone. Anyone know of a safe parking spot within uber distance of DFW airport? I thought I would ask here before I explore other possibilities.
Thanks

The airport parking would be safer than anywhere near the airport , that area is bad news .

My sister flies a lot and has had her vehicle vandalized twice while in the airport parking. Now she uses the Park N’ Fly shuttle in Coppell but has had a few issues with their shuttle to and from the terminals (running late). I have heard some good things about TheParkingSpot but they are probably all about the same.

If I was going to pick a secure place it would would be Express North covered parking at DFW. Access is somewhat controlled. There's no people driving around or wondering around who don't belong there. I would not park at the Terminal. You can pre-pay in advance and save some $s. https://onlineparking.dfwairport.com/en/But pre-pay can be a pain if you have a toll-tag.

Hardly ever fly but did the other day. I was told it’s convenient to stay at nearby hotel and park there and use their free shuttle. When checking in the clerk said it would be unsafe to leave a truck there(cat convert). Parked at theparkingspot nearby. It “seemed” real secure(gated, lit, covered). I would listen to the more experienced on here.

It's a lot faster than dealing with any shuttle, especially on the return end. It's not all that much more expensive if you can reserve online ahead of time. We have tolltags and have never had any issues. Not even sure what issues there could be because it accounts for your tolltag ahead of time...you just go in and out. If you're concerned about being double charged, just check your account afterwards.

I leave my truck in the Express North lot at the airport probably 30-40 days a year. I have never had an issue.

Was a real pain to resolve on my account. Makes sense they got it sorted out by now. The disadvantage of the terminal for this situation is it's not controlled access. When you pull up to Express North they are going to ask you what terminal, tell you where to park, and then send a van quickly to pick you up at your vehicle. You can't just easily drive into the lot and cruise around looking for a vehicle to rob. A thief doing criminal stuff would really stand out there in that location.

Another vote for Express North covered, probably safer than your driveway. I'd cover items inside if window tint is light.

Find a boat storage place and see if they have a vacancy. Park there and lock it up, then uber to airport.
A month there is probably cheaper than 4 days at the airport.

PM superduty, he is in Arlington. When you come back, it will likely be cleaner than when you left it. You can't park it at Bobo's as he would likely lose it.

A month there is probably cheaper than 4 days at the airport. The hassle of locating, registering, and paying for a month of storage + Uber to/from the airport is less than $44 for 4 days???

I would recommend either the Express North/South lots (on airport) or the parking spot (off Airport). Both are access controlled and offer covered parking if you prefer that. They're $15 a day i beleive.

Thanks for all the info. My biggest concern is that all my hunting gear will be in the car, including certain sensitive items which I would not want falling into the wrong hands. I suppose the paid private parking lot options are secure enough.

I suppose the paid private parking lot options are secure enough. I’ve been parking in Express North inside DFW for many years. Never a problem nor have I heard of one. In fact I’m heading there later today.

Good. If you have all your hunting gear (assuming that includes sometype bows or weapons too) then $$$ on parking would be my least concern. Find the best secure place you can. There are plenty of storage facilities like Extra Space Storage and Securelock Storage both just North of DFW North entry, around the airport with sizes large enough to park truck inside and lock it up. If you don't have a good friend with a garage close the airport that's probably what I would do. Just don't tell them when you sign contract you are putting weapons in the unit!

I travel frequently for work...
DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING IN YOUR VEHICLE WHEN PARKING AT ANY DFW AIRPORT LOT (ON PROPERTY OR OFF). NOT EVEN A DIME IN YOUR CUP HOLDER!!!!
Good luck!
I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect.
