Remington model 31, it was built in the 1940’s, my grandads.. Have not shot this gun since I got my SBEII in 2008, figured I needed to show it some love. Only problem I’m not seeing any dove, I have seen one dove so far, Haskell county. I might try another spot 15 miles from here in the morning.

Let's face it...birds taste better when taken with a scattergun like that.

It’s pretty tough, I’m 61 years old now, I’m slowing down a bit. Hope to put a few crappie in the cooler in the morning and watch the cowboy game at noon!

That 16ga is a full choke, no screw in options. It was really fun to shoot, the pump hard to remember after 14 years shooting an auto.

It has low, med, and high. I put it on high, it puts out piping hot coffee. And for some reason, it makes a unique flavor that is awesome. And push the start button, starts every time, blue fame underneath looks awesome dark 30, gets you all charged up!

Looks like a good time Guy! I like your 16. Fresh hot coffee made in the field always seems to taste good.

Since I started reloading for my 16's I like shooting mine a whole lot more! I've got my uncles old Winchester model 12 skeet and a little Stevens 5100 SxS
That old crackheaded commie (Bernie Sanders) has lost his damn mind.. in 1983

Shooting that pump after shooting an auto since 2008 takes some getting used to. Several times I pulled the trigger and had a spend shell in the chamber. Also, I would not have the pump all the way up, so shell is not chambered all the way, pull the trigger and nothing would happen.
I plan on shooting it again next week, I got a case of 16 ga shells I need to use, they are getting old, so why not. Can't let them go bad, that would be a waist, looks like the shell is $23 a box now..
I tell yeah tho, this gun puts off a unique smell of gun powder, it brought back old memories....

I love all my 16’s. Got one Ithaca that’s my grandpas that I need a smith to fix the slide for me. I have some old browning auto with a mod choke that I used to wear out the dove with. Also a bps with a 28” barrel that I like to hunt with. Even an 870 that I turkey hunt with.
