Tied between 1911 and Sig 229. Feel sorry for the guys who don't get to shoot Sigs(LOL). I tell my kids, "Don't ask a guy if he shoots a Sig. If he does, he'll tell you. If he doesn't, there's no need to embarass him".

LOL! Man, I sure do like this guy. That's a great quote. I have grown up with Sig being drilled in my head since I was a kid. I see there are a lot of HK shooters here. I have a USP Compact, but it's not quite a Sig. HK makes a great gun no lie. There MP5 is still untouched for decades!

I made a mistake in naming the XDM .40 as my favorite gun.

Its the XDM .45 thats my favorite.

Couldnt find and edit option on my post and just now saw my mistake.

Only gun I kept, no matter what, was my Smith & Wesson 617. Sold all of em at one time or another but never that one.

Big bore, I'd like to have another model 29 so metime. Liked it much better than the 2 629's I had. Right now, I am pretty partial to my Ruger Security Six 4" barrel.

Auto, Glock 21

Auto RF, Browning Buckmark Sillouette.

Ruger Blackhawk Bisley .45 colt, like the old Peacemaker but with the right ammo will be right up there with the .44 mag. call me old fashioned, but I love it.

My current favorite is my FBI-issue S&W 13-3 in .357. My all-time favorite was a Ruger Super Blackhawk Stainless with a 10-1/2" bull barrel. Most accurate handgun I ever owned. Sold during a time of poverty, and have regretted it ever since.

That's kinda like asking, "What's your favorite screwdriver?"

It depends on what kind of screw is in front of me. lol.

SP101 snubby.

Pretty much anything that ever got in front of any of my guns was screwed. :-)

Way to go Ron! I knew you'd convert someday.

Feel sorry for Sig Owners? Don't feel sorry for us.... we sleep well at night.

I have carried the P226 everyday since 1986. I have tried virtually everything and still carry the P226.

I wont' knock Glocks, HK, good 1911's Smith or Springfields, all are good. But it's hard to ever find anything negative about Sig's.

And really now, you guys know that John Browning invented the 1911, improved it with the Hi-Power and improved it with the Browning BDA.... and Sig perfected the BDA into the P-series!

Why would you want a gun you had to work on all the time anyway?

Well the p229 goes for what about 950 and the FNP 40 for about 500. Hmm thats about half to me. I have shot both, and it is not worth double the price to me. It shoots just as accurate and my wallet is not as empty. Soo yea i feel sorry for people that paid twice as much smile

Wrong my friend bought a P229 SAS for 800... And no. The FN doesn't shoot as good as a sig. Don't get me wrong, it's a good firearm, but not up to a sig's standards. I've seen a Sig with 40,000 rounds put through it with out any problems. The FNP just couldn't do that.you can get a certified used P226 for 650$. Instead of hating on them, why not go out and purchase one of your own?? I promise you... You won't be sorry.
