Well lookie here.... There's a new poll out showing 66% of Texas voters support leaving the union. Support is broader and deeper than many folks think. Both parties, conservatives and moderates, rural and urban.

https://texianpartisan.com/survey-voter-support-for-texit/

I know some of you folks think we're "fringe". The numbers suggest otherwise.

Rio Grande, Red, and Sabine lol

For real though, 2/3 of the immigration problem is that US v. Arizona has reserved all immigration enforcement to the Federal government, and they suck at their day job. A free Texas could solve the problem in 6 months or less.

Zero possibility of this happening.

Study some more, Ntxtrapper. There are reasonable, legal, peaceful means of this happening.

Seriously guys. Can we take OK with us? I know they smell funny, but the whole state is red.

I am all for it.

Oklahoma will go with us.

Louisiana will go with us.

Then you have a confederacy. And that got real ugly last time.

I would like to see another "Republic of Texas" in my lifetime & live up to our motto " Texas whole other country".

But it cannot be violent succession. we would not win that war!! All they would have to do is take down Texas very Shakey/broke [censored] power grid during July/Aug time frame & people would be Crying. They don't even have to put Boots on the ground - It could be done easy. dead_horse

Wasting energy even thinking about this. We need to fix what's broken... and no, I don't have the answer.

Hard to fix what's broken, when the fix is in.

No but sedition wasn’t in the scope of the original post.

Wow fun to think about, but it’s not going to happen.

The words you quoted as written by James Madison are certainly central to the United States of America. There’s no disputing that fact.

However, the OP specifically excluded sedition, an illegal means for succession.

Forgive me, for I am slightly confused, where does the article mention sedition.
What we would do, in the act of secession, would be no different that what the 13 colonies did 200 years ago...
