I have never hunted hogs before but we found a place where some are tearing it up. Should i just throw out some deer corn and go out there one night?

That is what we do but we sour the corn first.

...I'd add that you should make sure it's a bucket with a lid. While the lid isn't required for the souring process, you will want to put that lid on when you transport the nasty stuff. I think it smells like vomit and don't want any of it splashing in the bed of my truck. The hogs love the stuff. Good hunting!

If you have the time take a hand used pole digger, dig a hole about a foot or so deep. Make sure you dont make it very wide, so that its harder for them to dig it up.. Anyhow put corn, corn syrup and a couple pouches of strawberry jello. Mix it all together in the hole and the sent of the jello should have them in in no time....

Do you put water in with the hog wild or pour it in dry?

Deer Corn and Molasses or however you spell it works very good for us! Deer Corn, Apple Slices and molasses has brought us in high numbers but they will keep coming back even when it is gone and will dig up everything in sight

Deisel keeps the deer and coons off your corn. Jello mix works good on top of your corn. Ive hear rotten pears and sweet potatoes work good too.

I've heard this is the best, but haven't tried it- yet.

Take a 5 gallon bucket, fill it almost to the top with corn. Sprinkle a packet of strawberry jello on top, then pour on a can of Old Milwaukee beer and then fill to almost the top with water. Put it in the sun and drink (if you are brave enough) the other 5 beers. When you wake up the next day, pour the concoction in a hole in the ground and get ready.....

Whoever doesn't want to do the souring has to take a big whif of it right before we dump it. Trust me you'll want to do the souring next time! barf

Got some souring right now for the dove/hog killing trip in a few days. Didnt have any beer in the fridge but did have some smirnoff girly drinks my wife decided not to drink. I poured one in each bucket then filled with water, I'll let you know if the rasberry flavors work.
