Are here again. No rhyme or reason as to when they come but they are here. Just washed my truck and it looked great until I hit a wad of them on the way home. Just finished rewashing the grill and redoing the windshield so not a happy camper.

Shut up CR!

If there’s that many that it clogs stuff up, then sure, water jet them out.
OP complaining because he just washed his truck.

So I guess you never wash yours. Inside must really reflect on the owner.

They were thick between San Antonio and Corpus last weekend. The front of an F250 will hold a LOT of butterflies.

So I guess you never wash yours. Inside must really reflect on the owner.

It gets washed, and cleaned inside. I just don’t complain when it gets dirty, or feel the need to post on the internet so others can console me because I’m so unhappy.

I was coming back from and Idaho elk hunt a few years back. Was dropping a buddy off In Leakey. I had to stop twice to clean grill out.

It was meant as a warning for all the reasons others have posted. Maybe a little more important than identifying plants in a median.

I drove a orange laundry truck in College Station in 96 and there were swarms of black bugs that would keep my truck black for 2-3 weeks.

So you felt that you need to inform grown adults about bugs that could constrict their vehicles performance?
We both know that members of this forum are capable of keeping their vehicles in top performing shape!
You posted a psa trying to get traction, and the only bite you got was me calling you out!
This thread would be dead without our back and forth bickering!

The best thing I have found to get the dried grasshoppers off the grille and bumper is Mean Green from Walmart. It is a cheap cleaning agent that hasn't seemed to hurt the paint. I never go to the carwash without spraying my truck's front end first.
