This knife is designed to reflect the lines of the ancient Persian "kard" style, from the long thin blade to the round bone handle with a thick frame, to the highly embellished engraving. The knife is 81 layer 1084/15n20 twist damascus in a bold pattern. Fittings are stainless steel, and engraver Alice Carter from Caldwell, Tx added her touch. The tip and throat style sheath is goat leather overlaid with engraved nickel silver fittings. Overall length is 12 1/2" with a 7 1/8" blade. This knife won the "Best Collaboration" award from the Knifemakers' Guild at Blade Show 2022.
