We did it once, in March. We didn't notice anything different that particular year and failed to include it as a regimen.

Does anyone put medicated protein in their protein feeders to protect there axis s feeders for worms? I heard that from someone? Feds and State use to do it in tick quarantine zones on corn. Not sure they still do it

Whitetail, nilgai and what ever else is comes to it. Trying to prevent migration of fever ticks

Ignorance here, I would be leery if they were free ranging as someone might eat one that had levels of medication that could be an issue. How do you know only 1 or 2 animals didn't ingest way more than they should and then get shot and consumed? Someone could have a reaction to the medication given to the animal if eaten to soon after treatment.

We just put out sulphur blocks and it controls the ticks on deer in the area. I agree that using a true medicated feed could cause someone a problem on free ranging animals

We do medicated feed once a year for Axis and Fallow. We don't hunt them until 30 days after all the feed is gone as we were told that they wouldn't be safe to eat until its runs through their system.

We put medicated feed in our feeders at our property in WV twice a year (March and August). We use the stuff that was made for sheep. It is safe to consume the meat 15 days after treatment.
